Wildflower
The girls had a lot to learn, and they knew that she was the one to teach them. She’d lived alone in that big house for as long as they could remember. Alone with the trees and the flowers and whatever fauna came across her path on her twilight strolls. She said everything she needed was inside the gates of that garden. The girls had come with open eyes, but left with open spirits. They never could have known just how much beauty existed beyond what they could see.
